In order to deepen the academic friendship and mutual learning between Chinese and foreignstudents,and build a platform for the exchange of young scientific research talents around the world.The China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as the China Scholarship Council) has established and implemented the China Government Scholarship Short-term Research Exchange Program (China Link). Our university will enroll students from relevant foreign partner institutions for the 2024 Chinese Government Scholarship short-term research exchange program. Applicants may submit their applications in accordance with the application conditions in the Announcement.

I.Funding Plan

1. Types of funding:

Ordinary students: applicable to undergraduate students and master's students

Advanced students: Applicable to doctoral students and faculty members

2. Duration of grant: 1-12 months, startingbeforeAugust 31, 2025

3. Teaching language: English or Chinese, depending on the Chinese universities’major settings

4. Funding field: Other majors are not limited except Chinese language

II.Funding content

Enjoy full scholarship support during your stay in China, including free tuition, free on-campus accommodation and comprehensive medical insurance Living expenses will be provided in accordance with the standard of ChineseGovernmentScholarship, including 3,000 RMB/month for ordinary students and 3,500 RMB/month for advanced students.

III.Application Requirements

To be eligible, applicants must

1.Be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, andbe in good health both mentally and physically.

2. Applicants forordinary study, under the age of 45 Advanced student applicants, under the age of 50

3. During the period of application and participation in the program,applicantmust be a full-time student or faculty member of a foreign partner institution of China Scholarship Council (see Appendix 2 for the list of foreign partner institutions)

4. Admission letter orPr-Admissionletterissued by a Chinese institution

5. Applicants applying for courses taught in Chinese areacquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 4 Applicants applying for courses taught in English are required to be fluent in English

6. Meet the admission requirements of the applied universities in terms of

academic ability, language proficiency and other relevant criteria.

V. Application process

1. The applicant shall contact the Chineseuniversityto obtain the admission letter orpr-admissionletter

2. Log on to the Chinese government scholarship to the study of management information system (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login) to complete the online application and upload the relevant material(system operation guide to seeAppendix 3)

Note: When filling out the system application, please select the correct "Study abroad program type". Please select "Category B" study abroad program type Please fill in the correct "Acceptance Agency Number". The acceptance institution number of our school is: "11658".

"study program type" and "Acceptance Institution number" are related to each other, and are required contents in the "Chinese Government Scholarship Management Information System for Studying in China". After the applicant fills in, the system will automatically display the name of the accepting department represented by the code filled in. There is a relationship between the program type and the acceptance institution number. If you fill in the wrong information, the scholarship acceptance department will not receive the online application information.

3. Applicants pleasesubmit the applicationin our school's international student management system:(http://study.hainnu.edu.cn/).

4. Prepare the relevant materials according to the requirements of the "ApplicationDocuments" list, and submit the paper version of the materials to the 305 Admission Office of the School of International Education ofHainan NormalUniversity before the application deadline.

VI. Application Documents（in duplicate）

1. Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (in Chinese orEnglish)

2. Copy of Passport Home Page. If the validity of the applicant’s currentpassport does not meet the requirement (meaning the passport expiresafterDecember2025), please apply for a new passport beforesubmitting the application

3. Notarized highest diploma. Prospective diploma winners must submitofficial proof of student status by their current school. Documents inlanguages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarizedChinese or English translations

4.Academic transcripts (from the undergraduate program onwards). Copies of academic records from first to last semester during theundergraduate, graduate (if any), and doctoral programs (if any) shall beprovided. These transcripts shall be issued and sealed by the attendinguniversity’s academic affairs office, graduate school, or studentmanagement department. They can be in Chinese or English, but must beattached with notarized English translations if they are in foreignlanguages other than English

5. Language qualification certificates. Applicants for Chinese-taughtprograms must submit valid HSK-4reportsApplicants forEnglish-taught programs shall provide relevant language proficiency certificate.

6.Pr-admissionletter.

(1) Pr-admissionletterissued by the Chinese university ofpreference,including an official admission letter, a pr-admission letterfromChinese universities.

The pr-admission letter shall be printed on thespecial-purpose letter of the desired Chinese university and issued andsealed by the university’s international students admission office

(2) The pr-admission letter shall contain the followinginformation (in Chinese or English):

a. Applicant information: full name, nationality, date of birth, name of theuniversity last attended, and others

b. Academic status in China: graduate student or doctoral student

c. Projected time of staying in China. The study timeline isbeforeAugust2025

d. Information of the applicant’s Chinese supervisor (if any)

e. Descriptions of the applicant’s studies or research in China

f. Language taught in courses (Chinese or English)

7. A study plan proposal. A study plan written in Chinese or English shallcontain more than 1,000 characters or words

8. Recommendation letters. Two letters of recommendation (written onlyin Chinese or English) from professors or associate professors shall besubmitted. These letters shall describe the applicant’s objectives oflearning in China, comprehensive abilities, and evaluation of futuregrowth, as well as the cooperation between the supervisors or theexchange between universities both in China and abroad

9. Example of art. To apply for majors related to art or design, applicantscould submittheir own works through “Example of Art/Other SupportingDocuments”in the system. Applicants could also provide such materialsto the applied universities directly in other ways

10. Applicants under the age of 18 should submit the valid documents oftheir legal guardians in China

11. A photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form(See Appendix 1)completedin Englishor Chinese(the original copy shall be kept by the applicant). The form isdesigned by the Chinese quarantine authority and can be obtained fromthe dispatching authority. The physical examinations must cover all theitems listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incompleterecords or those without the signature of the attending physician, theofficial stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicants areinvalid. Please select the appropriate time to take a physical examinationas the result is valid for only 6 months.

12. Non-criminal record report. The applicant shall submit a validcertificate of Non-Criminal Record issued by the local public securityauthority, usually issued within 6 months prior to the submission date ofthe application.

Reminder: Uploaded supporting documents must be clear, authentic andvalid. Applicants are recommended to use a professional device to scanthe relevant documents. Applicants shall bear the consequences caused byunclear or unidentifiable uploaded materials.

VII．Scholarship Confirmation

1. University reviews the application documents and decides thenominated candidates.

2. Nominated candidates will get Chinese Government Scholarships tostudy in China with approval of the CSC.

3. CSC reserves the rights to decide the host university for scholarshiprecipients with multiple offers. Each scholarship recipient—even whenadmitted by multiple universities—will be granted no more than onescholarship.

4. The CSC reviews eligibility and qualifications of nominated candidates, approves the List of Scholarship Recipients, and sends the admissiondocuments to universities. University sends theadmission documents（Admission Letter and Visa Application Form forStudy in China（JW201））to scholarship recipients.

5. Scholarship recipients shall not change their host university, field ofstudy, or duration of study unless they give up the grant.

6. Scholarship will not be reserved if scholarship recipient cannot registerbefore the registration deadline.
